Covent Garden issues pure classical Rosalia
Daily Comfort ZoneAmid the hype-fuelled debate about the classical-orchestral elements in Rosalia’s hit ‘Berghain’, the Royal Ballet and Opera have created a stripped-back version of the song for vocalist, violin and piano.
Not bad.
The cover singer is soprano Jacquelyn Stucker.
A chain-saw version for the simpletons.
To quote Joseph Conrad’s “Heart of Darkness”:
“The horror. The horror.”
I find it stunning, how an objectively boring piece of music (the 3 most standard harmonies of all time) creates such a hype.
Pachelbel’s Canon is a freaking masterpiece compared to this.
But oooooh, she’s singing “classical”, it smells like culture.
XXXX alive! What a god awful noise. No wonder classical music is widely regarded, if at all, with derision and contempt.
Not sure what dimension you inhabit. Derision and contempt?
